37 Week Program

Program Description

Our 37 week Educational Assistant program complies with the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Education, and is approved under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. this program is designed to teach our students how to directly address the responsibilities and challenges faced by school support staff. The program places emphasis on developing student skills in the areas of Special Education, Classroom Literacy and Behavior Management. The students will learn the importance and necessity of treating each child as an individual, communicate effectively and implement programs designed to meet the needs of each child. The various professional workshops included in the program will provide students with a well-rounded educational experience. Upon graduation students will be able to make a positive impact in the schools and meet the needs of children in today’s classrooms.
This program is also offered on a part time basis.

  • First Aid/CPR – Level ‘C’

Admission Requirements

Ontario Secondary Diploma (grade 12) or equivalent is needed along with demonstrated English proficiency, communication and comprehension skills. Students must have the equivalent standing at the general level in English or be able to take an English assessment.
