Accounting Clerk

Program Description

The purpose of the 44 week Accounting Clerk Diploma program is to provide students with the skills and foundation needed to gain entry level employment within the Accounting field. The program includes a work experience component at the end, which is intended to provide the students with on the job skills and training and prepare them for their career in the industry. This course is approved as a vocational program under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.

The program is partially self-facilitating, and the students will be provided with self-directed learning modules. If the students have difficulty or would like clarification in any particular area, they receive one-on-one instruction from the instructor present in the classroom.

Admission Requirements

Ontario Secondary Diploma (grade 12) or equivalent is needed along with demonstrated English proficiency, communication and comprehension skills. Students must have the equivalent standing at the general level in English or be able to take an English assessment. Everyone must have an up-to-date valid police check also.
